To Crown timber dues was added "timber licence," "timber-limit," or "timber-berth" arrangement, by which lumbermen obtained the sole right to cut on specified areas for a given time.
1965
Amendments made to the Forest Act in 1965 now permit: Application of the cost of timber sales to the timber licence as a whole, or to cutting permits issued pursuant to the licence.
